It is close to the quaint river ferry that transports many tourists across the Mopan River on their way to visit the nearby and popular Maya ruins of Xuanantunich. Many tourists also pass the property on their way to the Guatemalan border and the gateway to all of Central America, which is only 3 miles away. One feature of the property layout is that it was built with handicapped persons in mind with ramps and wide doorways.

There is a large courtyard within the compound which is part paved and part garden. There are many shrubs flowers and fruit including avocado, papaya, orange, pineapple, mango, plantain and soursap.

This stretch of road alongside the river through Succotz Village is considered by many to be one of the most picturesque locations in the country and it very pleasant relaxing on the patio and watching the world go by; watching the many birds on the river; and watching the local women, many of whom are Maya, beating their clothes on rocks in the river, as their people have been doing for centuries.
