SCHOOLS IN BELIZE

On Ambergris Caye, there are several good schools here for Kindergarten through 8th grade. But there is only one high school which is all right. It is getting better, but still does not prepare a student for University education. A student would need to go to a Jr. College to pass the requirements necessary for entrance into a University. (In the US)

The Island Academy is the best known and most expensive private elementary school on AC. Here is the link. It costs about $700 BZ per month per child. It is expected that multiple children would bring a little lower price per child. This is a good school. Many students go back to the US for high school and get extremely high grades on entrance exams, etc.

There is also ACES - Ambergris Caye Elementary School. About $100-$150 BZ per child. A great school.

New Horizons is a Seventh Day Adventist School with a cost of approximately $50 BZ per child. An excellent school!! You do not need to be an Adventist to attend. All children have a Bible class in one or more grades.

These three schools are all excellent. High school stills needs upgrading in the educational areas, but is improving each year.
